The Challenge
Aqua Conditioners was already running Google Ads in Chennai when we audited the account. The ads were live. Too much of the money went to the wrong searches.
What the audit found:
- Searches that could never buy - About one rupee in five went on searches for RO systems, water purifiers and competitor brands.
- Wasted impressions - 19,782 a month in April, shown to people looking for something else.
- A low click-through rate - Between January and May, only 4.2% to 6.4% of the people who saw an ad clicked it.
Outcome
At similar spend, the rebuilt account shows its ads to far fewer wrong people and gets more leads.
Click-through went from 4.2% to 6.4% between January and May to 11.5% in August. Wasted impressions fell from 19,782 a month in April to 3,528 in August, about five times fewer. The share of clicks that became leads rose from about 7% to about 12%.
In the last 30 days: 58 leads at $2.86 each. The ads still point to the landing page on the old site. The new site is ready on a preview link for the next stage.
Ad figures as reported by Google Ads, pulled 23 August 2026, shown in US dollars at $1 = Rs 87.
